About the role
As a Shift Chemist in the 350 KLPD ethanol distillery you run the shift laboratory: the quality of fuel-grade ethanol leaving the plant, the fermentation and distillation parameters behind it, and the effluent going to the ETP. You are the shift's technical reference for anything the process throws up.
What you'll do
- Run shift analysis of fermentation, distillation and final fuel-grade ethanol quality.
- Log parameters and flag deviations to the distillery manager and control room.
- Monitor spent-wash and ETP effluent against pollution-board norms.
- Maintain the lab, its reagents and calibration, and the shift QC records.
- Support statutory sampling, audits and OMC despatch quality checks.
What we're looking for
- M.Sc Chemistry or B.Tech in Chemical / Biotechnology engineering.
- 2–4 years in a distillery, sugar or fermentation-based process lab.
- Familiarity with EBP fuel-grade ethanol specifications and QC methods.
- Comfortable working rotating shifts at a single-campus site.
- Willing to be based at Inland Nagar, Ramgarh.
