IPL CSR coaching student tops the district in matriculation

CSR activity26 April 2026

A student from Inland Power's free CSR coaching centre has topped the district in the Jharkhand matriculation (Class 10) examination: a milestone for the company's rural-education programme. IPL held a prize-distribution ceremony at the coaching centre to felicitate the top performers and encourage continued academic excellence.

Local newspapers reported that the district topper, Milpa Kumari of Serengatu, credited her success to the IPL coaching and hopes to become a doctor, describing how she studied from the early hours each morning. (Reported in the Hindi press; translated here.)

  • A free CSR coaching centre for rural students near the plant
  • A prize-distribution ceremony felicitating top performers
  • A coaching student placed first in the district (matriculation)
  • Recognition to encourage continued academic excellence

The result reflects the coaching programme's role in widening access to quality education for rural students and nurturing local talent: a long-term investment in the district IPL operates in.
